PODIUMS IKEA

THE CHALLENGE
Ikea is refurbishing the layout of its store in Vallecas and the project includes allocating an area to display products that help make the home more sustainable. To highlight these products, they propose that we design podiums with our biomaterials.

THE SOLUTION
We designed rectangular volumes made of solid beech wood, leaving two sides open, which we later filled with our CIBICO biomaterial. The volumes are made up of two frames that fit together by means of magnets that allow the pieces to be opened or closed so light can be placed inside.
The green tone of the material with the addition of tea remains from the store’s canteen provides the final appearance of the elements, and the laser engraving supports the message of the action.
